Transition > ARTICLE: CF Developmental Education Plan

The University of Missouri Health System CF Center has an excellent Developmental Education plan for use with CF Parents and Patients (created by Kecia Nelson, MSW, LCSW). I like it because it is much more than a transition plan, although it does include transition goals. It walks parents through the different ages and stages of life from birth and details what CF Education parents and patient should be focusing on.

To go alongside of this plan, Dr. Cline and I have developed an Ages and Stages plan that helps parents understand what to expect from a child development standpoint and how to best teach children depending on where they are at in their developmental stage.
