Infants with CF > Understanding Brain Development in Young Children

Here is a link to a good article about brain development in infants and young children. It gives an excellent overview of what children need in the early years to thrive emotionally, developmentally and psychologically. And guess what? It's not more toys! ;-) I like it because it's written in simple language that people without a degree in neuroscience can understand (which includes me)!

In the words of the author, Sean Brotherson: "The development of a child's brain holds the key to the child's future. So touch, talk, read, smile, sing, count and play with your children. It does more than make both of you feel good. It helps a child's brain develop and nourishes the child's potential for a lifetime."
